Trip Report Poole 27th April

Pottering around .... Poole
The day got off to a good start, albeit rather early for an old publican! Trevor had sausage sarnies ready and waiting as we arrived at the quay side at about 10 on Saturday morning. Off we went in search of the Venezualia, arriving at destination, a senior member of our group, (that’s experience not age, of course!) returned from a quick look at 20 meters and exclaimed “it’s darker than a night dive at Vobster”!
So, not such a good start but as the day progressed our skipper, among many others diving the area tried their best to find some sights with any vis. Alas in the end this was not too be, with only the very dedicated attempting to dive the tanks and on the last look of the day, even the seahorses had moved to greener pastures! However the lunch and the BBQ provided made for a pleasant day out and I guess that’s good old English diving, great weather top side but unpredictable conditions even for the best of them. Well done Lucy for giving it a go and here’s to a second try at this one latter on in the year.
