Trip report Tuesday 23rd April .... Scallops on the menu.
Arriving at West Bay with plenty of time to spare, we enjoyed a lazy cup tea and homemade biscuits (courtesy of Sue B.) in the glorious afternoon sunshine, before kitting up and boarding The Ruby J. Skipper Neil (aka Slim) gave a good safety briefing before ropes off and heading out of the harbour.
Bags of scallops were to be found at about 28 meters, Ken returning with the biggest haul (he took the biggest bag !!). The water temp at around about 7/8°C made for quite a chilly dive for some but all returning with scallops to show for their efforts, with dive times of up to about 35 mins.
We finished with coffee and chips back in the bay ...... a good time had by all.
Any one up for a trip the week after next ?
