Another brilliant day at Lundy on Monday 26th

Postby Ken » Wed Jul 21, 2010 3:45 pm

Another superb day at Lundy, thanks Andy for giving us the bigger "Obsession" well worth it for the bumpy ride over, but on arrival it was flat calm in the shelter of the Island. Seals basking in the sunshine and getting in the water as we kitted up. First dive and everyone saw the seals in fairly good viz, but they weren't really playing. Out for an hour and we were basking in the sunshine, a leisurely lunch with Sue supplying enough food for a small army. Back in for dive 2 and the seals had woken up a bit, plenty of close encounters and fin nibbling.
Back on board and a nice flat sea for the ride home in the sunshine, sat on the top deck in the sun. To finish the day a quick display by a few passing dolphins and back to Ilfracombe.
Thanks to all.

 wonderful!!

Thank you Ken for another great relaxed SD boat trip on the 'posh' Obession!...well worth the bumpy ride out.....amazing second dive, but the I was very lucky to have Scaff as my buddy...not only is he a great buddy and diver, but the seals 'loved' his silver fins!

Happy to provide army-food, and also give everyone a good laugh with the funniest giant-stride to date off that boat! :D..

Superb all round - wonderful company, and nicely finished off with yummy ice-cream before the drive home.

Thanks also to Bob and the boys for a lift, even if we did take the 'scenic' route there! ;)

I wasn't even going to mention the giant stride, some would call it a belly flop!! It was one of your better ones.
Ice-creams were good.

Hee hee!..that belly flop will take some beating!! :D ...will have to book another seal-dive now, just to perfect it!

SUPERB vid Scaff - I would never have forgotten being there with that seal....it was the biggest poser out there! - but having the vid is even better!
